IV World Union Lasallian Former Students Congress (UMAEL)

DISTINGUISHED LASALLIAN ALUMNI:

We are pleased to announce that the IV World UMAEL Congress will convene this year in Panama from October 24 to October 28. The theme of this year's Congress will be "Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve" and will gather for the purpose of bringing together our worldwide Lasallian Alumni Associations under the educational principles established by the Brothers of the Christian Schools which today, we wish to direct toward our under privileged youth.

We are confident that this gathering will bond and strengthen our relationships, our communication and dialogue with a view to initiating feasible projects in various types of works that our alumni are already successfully engaged in and that can be fruitfully developed on behalf of our society's most deprived children and young people. At the same time, we believe that this type of gathering and commitment to children in need will strengthen our consciousness that we all belong to one great international family.

We are certain that Panama, with its balmy climate, will be a an excellent gathering place to establish and maintain a close contact with all those who are interested in gathering together to bond our worldwide Lasallian Alumni Associations/Federations with a view to strengthening both our Lasallian Mission and our desire "To Serve".

I look forward to the privilege of gathering with you for this worldwide fraternal embrace which will be a manifest sign of our commitment to each other and to our brotherhood.
