Dear Friends,
The De La Salle
Alumni World Association is the
product of the effort and dedication of
thousands of alumni from all over the world
who after having the experience of being
formed at a De La Salle Center decided to
continue the ideals of our Founder
by working through our Associations and
Federations with cultural, spiritual and
sport programs and especially by trying to
benefit the very poor and vulnerable in our
society through solidary activities.
We, the De La Salle Alumni (more than ten
millions) from different cultures, races,
languages, even religions, feel united in
this project in which we can exchange
experiences and proposals.
I call on all the
alumni to:
a) Read, study and
spread the
CALLS TO SERVICE that Brother
Alvaro Rodriguez, General
Superior, gave to the Alumni on the
Third Congress of UMAEL which took place in
May 2003 in Mexico City.
b) Have a deeper
knowledge of the life of
SAINT JOHN BAPTIST
DE LA SALLE; his teaching method and his
special dedication to the poorest children
and youngsters.
c) Engage in
solidary commitments individually and as a
group to achieve a better and more fair
world by sharing all our experiences.
